June 27th: Site Reliability Engineering – More Than Just DevOps

Conceptualized at Google in 2003, Site reliability engineering (SRE) is a growing IT domain aimed at developing automated solutions for operational aspects such as on-call monitoring, performance and capacity planning, and disaster response. As described by Google, “Site reliability engineers create a bridge between development and operations by applying a software engineering mindset to system administration topics.”

During this event we will introduce SRE, explain how it differs from DevOps and discuss how it is implemented within BlackRock. We will also learn from BlackRock the ideal characteristics of a site reliability engineer within their organization.

Admission is free!
